The Diplomatic League started out as a federation of diplomacy majors and organizations in Manila, Philippines which envisioned itself to be the unifying agent and collective development of diplomacy majors in the country. It was formally established through the signing of the Diplomatic League Declaration last 08 May 2015 at the Bulwagang Apolinario Mabini of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Pasay. For a year Diplomatic League worked under the auspices of DFA Office of United Nations and have engaged with different diplomatic institutions, e.g. Embassies, UN Agencies like UN OCHA, UNDP, UNCT, UNHCT, etc. After several developments and humble successes in different aspects, e.g. Foreign Policy Recommendations, Model United Nations Academy, etc., the Diplomatic League is now fully recognized as part of the DFA Initiative DiplomacyPH working on the global advancement of Universal Diplomacy and anchored to several Embassies of the Philippines primarily Philippine Embassy in Wellington.
Message from the Secretary General
A man full of visions is enough to plan for a better future, but a man full of visions and courage will build what’s envisioned and beyond. Diplomatic League was once a vision, and it would have remained as such if not for all the people who gave me courage to realize it. It’s everyone with me who made things possible, and I am merely inspired and encouraged by the youth who now have this avenue to live as stakeholders of a better future through diplomacy.
“I cannot be everything, know everything, and do everything; but I can be someone who knows something that can better the society and the world.” This is not a choice I have to make but a responsibility I have to take, for I am part of the better future, building a better world. “Join us.”
