Philippine Ambassador to New Zealand and diplomacy.ph Secretary General Amb. Jesus R.S. Domingo, urged diplomacy students to unravel the diplomats within them through the perspective of “universal diplomacy” in the Diplomatic League Regional Assembly held at the Federal Restaurant, Makati City last October 29. The ambassador discussed on the students the three tracks present in diplomacy; Track one – dealing with governments, Track two concerning sectorals, and Track three, entailing people-to-people relations. Amb. Domingo further elaborated on the concept of Universal diplomacy, a perspective that all three tracks are equally important as what Traditional Diplomacy gives little importance to the two remaining tracks. The universal perspective on diplomacy manifests that everyone is a potential diplomat, the Ambassador had stated.
